LAWN BOWLS
While bowls is a gentle, challenging sport requiring skill, judgment and co-ordination, it’s also extremely friendly and is an ideal way to socialise and meet with other members. The Lawn Bowls section of The Glen Country Club has three world class bowling greens, on which a number of different bowls tournaments take place.
We provide all members with the opportunity to engage in this traditional sport which has shown, in recent years, an increase in popularity amongst South Africa’s younger generation. The Glen Country Club provides multiple bowling greens with overwhelming views within a peaceful and natural habitat.
These greens are located at both our Clifton venue as well as our Green Point Sports Recreation Centre.
Lawn Bowls
The Glen Country Club, located in the picturesque Clifton scenic reserve near the golden sands of Clifton Beach, has been a cherished venue for sports since its founding in 1955. Among the various sporting activities offered, lawn bowls stands out as a popular choice for both locals and visitors alike.

League Bowls
Members have the opportunity to play bowls in the Western Province leagues. These include the Western Province Flag, Muter and Mixed Trips leagues. Our members also participate at the many competitions that Western Province Bowls offers as well at the South African Nationals and All Cape Competitions.
